The Summit offers several ways to compete for prizes while strengthening your scholarship skills by actively engaging in presentations, workshops, plenaries, and perusing through the University of Phoenix Research Hub. This year, two contests and three categories of visibility awards have been developed.
Compete in a Conference Contest:
Ready, set, go! Take part in a conference contest to sharpen your Research Hub skills or interact in a new way with a presentation. Here are the two contest opportunities:
- Research Hub Rally - Attendees can form teams to compete in the Hub Rally. Visit the Hub Rally page for complete rules and to register by ----
- Crossword Puzzles - Individuals can compete to solve a variety of crossword puzzles further testing their knowledge.

About this: The Research Hub Rally is your opportunity to explore the rich content, camaraderie, professional engagement, and scholarship opportunities aboard the University of Phoenix Research Hub as well as several of the many KWB Summit plenaries and/or presentations, in the form of our Research Hub Rally. Hub Rally team members compete for quality noise canceling in-ear headphones that can block out 90 percent of background noise.
How to register: Eligibility begins with your virtual team (membership up to four) registration by -----------. Individuals and teams who are active and in good standing University of Phoenix students or faculty (at all enrolled degree levels), as well as UOPX alum and or those outside stakeholders who have a public Hub affiliate page posted, can qualify. Having a team member with affiliation is important as he or she will have access to nonpublic pages that are part of the rally. Research hub chairs, Office of Scholarship Research Staff are not eligible.
How to play: After officially registering by -----------. MT ------- participants will be emailed a series of virtual Hub Rally questions as an attached document. It is recommended that the document is saved and answers are added to the document by you as you work throughout the Research Hub or attend any number of plenary and presentations via the Shindig platform. In the end, your answers will be entered and submitted on an electronic form (with the link to the form contained in the email) in one sitting. Unfortunately, there is not a way to start the form and save your answers in order to return at another time.
About this: The Crossword Puzzles are your opportunity to find clues within specific presentations to complete a puzzle. Prizes range from -----
How to register: No registration is needed! If you are attending any session that features a crossword puzzle, simply navigate to that interactive puzzle within the table below. The link will be active during the presentation. Make sure to plan ahead to attend a presentation below!
How to play: Attend the presentation, complete the puzzle, and take a screenshot of the puzzle solution and submit using the link below. Be sure to include your name, relationship to UOPX or otherwise. Please do not use this address for questions as we simply cannot accommodate these during the conference. The crosswords are self-explanatory. If you are not able to solve all the words, you are encouraged to still submit for it is possible you can still win if all but one word is solved. One winner will be selected for each puzzle. The first entry that completely solves a puzzle and sends a screenshot of the puzzle solution by using the link below will qualify your entry into that contest (one wrong or missing answer allowed). Note: By submitting this crossword puzzle entry, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the rules of the contest.

LET'S RECOGNIZE VISIBILITY GREATNESS!
There are a variety of Visibly Greatness Awards designed to recognize a diverse group. The KWB Research Summit Visibly Greatness Awards are judged by an independent panel and are open to anyone who is involved in KWB as a presenter, attendee, or host. Individuals who are active and in good standing, University of Phoenix students or faculty (at all enrolled degree levels), as well as UOPX alum and or those outside stakeholders who have been involved in the Research Summit in some form as a presenter, host, or participant can qualify for a KWB Research Summit Greatness Awards. Please Note:The Research Hub Chairs and Office of Scholarship Research Staff are not eligible for prizes or nominations.
The KWB Research Summit Visibly Greatness Awards will be presented within 2 weeks of the last day of the Research Summit and recipients will be notified via email. Each honoree will be recognized on this page once they are identified to announce their greatness to the public.
Nominations will be accepted during and immediately after the 2019 KWB Research Summit.

Category One: Being Active
The MacGyver Award
This award recognizes someone who’s always fixing things even though it’s not in their job description.
The Fashionista Award
This award recognizes someone who takes their wardrobe game to the next level more often than not. Showing University of Phoenix spirit in accessories or colors is included in this category.
The Busy Body Award
This award recognizes someone who has attended multiple events on each of the 4 days.
The Chatty Cathy Award
This award recognizes someone rigorously engages the audience in a positive manner related to the content so that he or she can interact with the content presentation at a deeper level of understanding.
The Social Networker Award
This award recognizes someone who has posted the most 2019 KWB conference updates! Use the hashtag #2019KWB These hashtags are also searchable in LinkedIn.
Category Two: Screen Time
The Mr. Clean or Ms. Clean Award
This award recognizes someone on screen during the Research Summit who keeps their work space immaculately clean.
The Green Thumb Award (Our Green Compliance Initiative)
This award recognizes someone on screen during the Research Summit who has the most plants — that are still alive — in their work space.
The Most Visual Background Award
This award recognizes someone on screen during the Research Summit who has the most creative visual background.
Category Three: Research Hub
New Hub Profile Award
This award recognizes someone who has recently created (within the last month) a Research Hub profile that is comprehensive.
New Research Center Affiliate Award
This award recognizes someone who joins one of our research centers as a new affiliate during the Research Summit as a result of their experience in a center’s hospitality room. One award will be issued from each of the six hospitality rooms which feature our research centers.
