Dissertation of the Year
Dr. Scott G. Drexler
Come to hear how the Alumni Special Interest Group is on a mission to create a community of engaged alumni researchers! Special talks include:
The School of Advanced Studies is the host college for the Journal of Leadership Studies, a quarterly academic journal that provides opportunities for doctoral students, faculty members, and practitioners to publish their research. The Journal synthesizes the best that theory has to offer with the real-world practical experience of tested leaders. It helps position quality academic scholarship so it can impact organizational decision making.
We invite you to come here about the Dissertation to Publication workshop, run by the University Research Center leadership and affiliates. This workshop is instrumental in the translation of our SAS Alumni Doctoral Theses into published peer-reviewed journal articles.

A comprehensive knowledge of research methodology is critical for researchers to conduct valid studies and for research consumers to apply studies’ results.
Join us in the Main Room for a look at this year's theme, Expanding Boundaries - Strategies, Innovations, and Developments, and a look forward to Knowledge Without Boundaries 2.0. The talk will be followed by a discussion and questions from the audience.
Let's get this conference started!
The conference will kick off with a welcome message from Dr. Mark McCaslin, Dean of Research and Scholarship, and Dr. HInrich Eyler, SAS Executive Dean. This year's theme is Expanding Boundaries. Following this welcome message will be a keynote address from our UOPX Leadership, President Peter Cohen and Provost John Woods, in the same room.
