N.C. Scholarship for Teacher Advancement and Retention (NCSTAR)

Provided with $1000 of funding for professional development support, networking, and access to research teacher recruitment, develop a teacher recruitment program, draft legislation to submit this program, and present to members of the N.C. General Assembly. Program made it into the 2016 House Budget but not the Senate Budget. Education Appropriates Committee members are confident that the program will be signed into law in the long legislative session.
