Diversity and Inclusion in the Global Workplace: Aligning Initiatives with Strategic Business Goals.

Diversity Management seems to be particularly successful when it is linked to a specific corporate strategy such as innovation and international expansion.

It is expected that the leadership and management skills in South Africa’s multi-national and diverse workforce could be tested in the near future by a rising distrust of national and local governance and politics. Geo-political developments such as Brexit and illegal immigration into Europe have the result that globalization and multi-cultural values and norms are being questioned. There is growing evidence of a cultural backlash in many societies around the world and it remains to be seen how these developments will impact diversity management.
