How to Add Publications to Your User Profile

Adding Publications to Your Profile

The "Publications" content type is accessible only through the "Edit Profile" screen. It allows individual researchers to demonstrate their publishing efforts, including submissions and published materials.

You must be an active affiliate of a Research Center or other group to add Publications to your profile though it does not have to be related to activities within the Research Center itself. It can be featured in the "Featured Publications and Presentations" section of the site at the discretion of your Research Center Chair.

To Add Publications to Your Profile

To add a Publication to your profile:

  1. Log in to the website
  2. Click your username in the black navigation bar at the top of the page
  3. Click View Profile
  4. Click the "Edit" tab
  5. Under “My Publications” select "+Create Publication"

  7. Complete all relevant fields.  Your publication should summarize your work and direct people to how they can learn more. Do not include any information you do not have explicit permission to publically publish.
  8. If you do not have a link / URL to your publication, use the link to the publishers website or other relevant information as this is a required field. Learn more
  9. Click publish and you will automatically return to the Edit Profile page with the new publication added to the list.
  10. To add multiple publications, click the "Add another item" button before entering any additional information. Another field will appear. Enter the next publication in the NEW field. Otherwise the previous one will be overwritten and not display on your profile.
  11. Click "Save" at the bottom of the Edit Profile screen*.

You must click “Save” at the bottom of the Edit profile screen to add the publication to your profile before you close the window or navigate away. If you do not, the publication may be saved to the system but will not display on your profile.

I tried to add twopeer reviewed jounal to my publications, and both were not saved.

I think I am an affiliate active member of Center for Educational and instructional Technology Research.  Can you check for me?  I am involved in a research study:  Stress management Techniques Used by Faculty in the Asynchronous Learning Environment.

I published two articles:  one in Journal of Urology in 2005 and one in Journal of Sexual Medicine in 2012.  Neither have the ISBN, etc.  The only number they have that was requested was DOI.  The cite would not accept NA.  Will it accept None?

I spent more than 4 hours trying to add all of the information, and it was not accepted.

Is there a way to save what you have and edit it later, when you can find the information?  What if it is not available?  Both of the journals above are peer reviewed journals.

Help would be very appreciated.  I need these journals added for Academic Review.

If possible please call me at 479-650-0509.

Mary Jo Brinkman, Ph.D.
