Identifying Young Children with Disabilities

This is an article about identifying young children with disabilities. The author discusses problems with how we identify children for services, and describes ways to make sure the identification is valid and reliable.

Abstract: 

This article discusses problems involved in identifying young children with disabilities. The federal IDEA law requires children to be identified before services can be provided. Ideas for making the process valid and reliable are provided.
