How do we move forward?

This article is by an UOP instructor and past doctoral degree student. The piece focuses on  ways to address racism, bias, prejudice, and discrimination withing the field of education.. The authors provide personal insights, and then make helpful suggestions to addresses these important issues.

Abstract: 

The field of education - from early childhood education to graduate education - has its share of issues around racism, bias, and prejudice. Issues include extrinsic and intrinsic bias, individual and institutional racism, and structural issues where minorities are relegated to the bottom of the organization. This article attempts to address these issues and suggests possible solutions.
