Guerrilla Teaching Tactics

This article is targeted to early childhood teachers who recently graduated from college. It provides a variety of ideas and suggestions to help these teachers combat approaches and directions about teaching and caring for young children that are, at best, inappropriate, and at worst, dangerous.

Abstract:

Future teachers of young children are taught specific ways to help young children develop, grow, and learn. However, once they are hired in an early childhood program, they are often expected to engage in approaches to care and teaching of young children that are wholly inappropriate. This article helps these teachers resolves this dilemma, with a variety of suggestions and approaches.
