Adding to our View of Early Childhood Multicultural Educaion

This article describes a new approach to early childhood multicultural education. It expands on the model that has been in place since the creation of multicultural education, providing some new ideas and concepts. Of most importance, it frames the discussion within the development trajectories of young children, especially as they are described by Piaget.

Abstract: 

This article describes a new approach to early childhood multicultural education. This new approach focuses on the developmental stages of young children, the increasing complexity of identity development, and the need for young children to see beyond physical differences, in order to understand the universal human condition.
