The Red Bus Chapter 1

This was a chapter in a book about prinicipals who dealt with crisis on the day of 9/11.

Abstract: 

Dr. Young was among 20 principals invited to share how it was to handle a national crisis on September 11, 2001.   She managed her building as a solo administrator and held together a staff who had relatatives in NYC that day, and children whose parents worked there.  Eight parents were lost that day.  Dr. Young worked to create solidarity among the staff and parents and children to create a new kind of humanity within her school.
