Amanda's Story

My beloved student, Amanda, passed away before her dissertation was complete.  My initial tribute to her was a short article in the College of Education Newsletter.

Abstract: 

Amanda studied early childhood educators' impact on young children in child care centers.  She found that the most successful bonding and caring occured when the child care workers had at a minimum of two years of education in early childhood development. The higher the level of education workers had reached, the more patient and compatible they were to working with young children.
