Augmented Reality in Nursing Education Programs: A Descriptive Case Study.

This study is a follow up of our prior 'systemative review' of pertinent literature.

 

Abstract: 

Augment reality (AR) is an emergent, disruptive technology with the potential to significantly impact all key economic industries, including specific sectors such as nursing education. Nursing education impacts all areas of all populations and has the potential to transform lives, though its potential may not be fully realized. The purpose of this descriptive case study is to address  the overarching research question of How AR is used in nursing education? Interpretation of narrative acocunts will highlight strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and obstacles for integrating AR into nursing education programs as well as substantiate the need for further research.
