Dissertation Committee Member – Student: Veda H. Cleveland-Scruggs. Completion of Doctoral Degree 12/2020. Dissertation: Strategies to Prevent Fraudulent Acts in Real Banking: A Qualitative Multiple Case Study. DBA degree. The purpose of this qualitative multiple case study is to explore ethics within the retail banking industry. Data was collected telephonically and recorded to better capture the true meaning of the answers. Data analysis involved an inductive examination of the data collected. Research resulted in five themes: moral development, life experiences, ethical leadership, training/procedures, and spirituality--all strategic components necessary to combat unethical decision-making.
