Promoting cultural acceptance and tolerance of differences as it relates to students in their classroom is significant to the moral and ethical foundation of education. Educators have a duty to uphold and assist students to learn acceptance and create a positive classroom climate. This in-depth social-cultural learning experience is an active participation centered around an innovative educational practice or teaching and learning social acceptance in the classroom (Wentzel,1994).
Educators will gain insight to teaching acceptance and tolerance of students from diverse cultural backgrounds and how to build cultural equity to promote academic success.. The workshop will highlight student’s home language and the importance of students and faculty learning about diversity and different cultures through diversity, gender identity and language (Bircher,2016)
