•       Explore Rubrics 1-5 to determine expectations for Task 1

Read the Task 1: Planning Commentary.

  1. Click on edTPA Resources.
  2. Click on Resources for Students.
  3. Choose the Commentaries link.
  4. Select the Planning Commentary appropriate for your content area.

Deconstructing the Standards Into Specific and Measurable Learning Targets Rubrics 6-10

Review the deconstructed rubrics

Consider the following questions and discuss them in your team assignment:

  • How does deconstructing/unpacking standards assist in scaffolding plans?
  • Review the deconstructed standard(s), how will these help in supporting your students?

Assignments (2) - One Individual and one Group Assignment. 

There is one Individual Assignment and one Group Assignment for this day. 

Individual Assignment - Completed and submitted on the Day 2 Training Assignment Form.  (https://forms.gle/BvcVW6hq57iJ9RHn9)

Directions. There are two parts to the assignment 

1. Create guiding questions using rubrics 1-10. Take the level 5 indicators for each rubric and change them into a question.  If the Level 5 rubric states “Level 4 plus…”  than change each of the level 4 indicators into questions as well. 

2. Create guiding questions using rubrics 11-18. Take the level 5 indicators for each rubric and change them into a question.  If the Level 5 rubric states “Level 4 plus…”  than change each of the level 4 indicators into questions as well.

Team Assignment - Completed via edTPA Training Discussion Forum.

Directions:

1. Discuss the deconstructing questions and guiding questions you created for your assignment.  What other guiding questions and/or feedback could you give to your students based on appropriate guidelines for feedback.
