Following is a list of several state and regional research associations affiliated with the American Educational Research Association (AERA).  Most, if not all, have annual conferences and journals offering opportunities for presentation, publication, and engagement through both the regional organization and AERA. This list is not intended to be exhaustive.  Please alert us to additional organizations we should list. 

Northeastern Educational Research Association www.nera-education.org  NERA is an organization whose mission is to encourage and promote quality educational research and to create a venue for experienced and new researchers.

Mid-South Educational Research Association www.msera.org  MSERA is a nonprofit incorporated educational organization whose purposes are to encourage quality educational research in the Mid-South and to promote the application of the results of quality educational research in the schools. MSERA represents Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. 

Washington Educational Research Association www.wera-web.org  Welcome to Washington Educational Research Association – WERA is a not-for-profit organization of professionals working at all levels of education dedicated to improving the practice of instruction, assessment, evaluation, conducting and applying educational research, and using data to inform instructional decisions. Our services include two regional conferences, publications, and training for our members.

Southwest Educational Research Association sera-edresearch.org  SERA is a regional educational research association dedicated to furthering the advancement of research in education.

Virginia Educational Research Association va-edresearch.org  VERA is a state organization open to all persons interested in educational research and evaluation in Virginia.  VERA’s goals are to:

• Advance the professional development of Virginia’s educational researchers and evaluators

• Foster an exchange of research and evaluation ideas and methods among professional educators in Virginia
• Facilitate cooperative educational research and evaluation among school divisions, educational institutions, and agencies in Virginia
• Recognize the scholarly work and contribution of doctoral students as well as educational research and evaluation professionals

California Educational Research Association www.cera-web.org  CERA is a not-for-profit organization of professionals working at all levels of education dedicated to improving the practice of instruction, assessment, evaluation, conducting and applying educational research, and using data to inform instructional decisions.

Florida Educational Research Association  www.feraonline.org  The Florida Educational Research Association (FERA) is a professional association founded over 60 years ago to promote the investigation, research, and discussion of educational problems and issues impacting the state of Florida.

Northern Rocky Mountain Educational Research Association www.nrmera.org  We are the Northern Rocky Mountain Educational Research Association (NRMERA), the regional affiliate of the American Educational Research Association.
