Rodney Luster, Ph.D., LPC
Dr. Rodney Luster has been with the University since 2012. Rodney Luster is the Senior Director of Research Strategy, Innovation and Development for the Research Center Enterprise (RSE) within the College of Doctoral Studies. In this role Dr. Luster helps lead innovation in research, conect the pragmatics of research to industry and manages the research potentials inside the RSE. In addition, he also oversees the Committee on Research, is Chair for the Center of Leaderdship Studies and Organizational Research and is Lead Designer for the research periodical called Phoenix Scholar.
Rodney works with some of the big industry players connecting research in innovative ways. Some of these key players have been Bosch Information Systems, IBM, Dow, Mitre, Fullbright, Mayo Clinic, Corcoran Foundation for Literacy and others. He also maintains a private practice in Austin, Texas as a psychotherapist, and can be found under his business LLC known as inspirethought; his website can be found at inspirethought.org where he is also publishing his first ebook on depression. As a specialist in the study of trauma, Rodney was one of the first researchers to investigate vicarious trauma in the general populace which was the subject of his dissertation. Within this, a sub specialty in forensic counseling emerged and Dr. Luster mainatins many courses in psychopathology, including specialty coursework in terrorism, and abnormal psychology. He has served in higher education for close to 20 years leading and teaching in both traditional and non traditional environments, and has also served in tandem an 8 year term with the Higher Learning Commission as a reviewer.
Dr Luster has attended Our Lady of the Lake, Capella and did his internship at Johns Hopkins as part of his educational mosaic. In the moments between his roles he enjoys art, music, writing and composing songs and staying fit.

Erik Bean, Ed.D
Dr. Erik Bean has provided leadership within the University of Phoenix network for more than 20 years serving various roles from associate faculty to department chair to chairing dissertations. His research interests focus on teacher immediacy and customer experience (CX) of students and faculty and he has presented at conferences the worldover. He offers a full-range of administrative duties including, employee, facilitator, research, curriculum development, and technical governance solutions for the proprietary, corporate, or traditional education markets including accreditation compliance. In addition to his peer reviewed published articles he has written several academic books including: WordPress for Student Writing Projects, published by Brigantine Media, St. Johnsbury, VT, Rigorous Grading Using Microsoft Word AutoCorrect: Plus Google Docs, Westphalia Press imprint of the Policy Studies Organization, Washington, D.C. and his latest book, Social Media Writing Lesson Plans. Dr. Bean enjoys helping faculty and students attain a viable research agenda as well as assisting them in seeking scholarly publication and presentations. He is adept at the content analysis research method.
