Getting Involved Online 101
Getting Involved Online 101
Are you looking for ways to get involved? Thanks to our Research Centers, the Office of Scholarship Support, and various School of Advanced Studies functions, there are numerous ways to become actively involved in research and scholarship.
Join the Research Hub
If you have not already, join the Research Center and set up your scholar profile.
Join a University Research Center
The School of Advanced Studies is deeply committed to continuing to grow our culture of scholarship. As a part of our commitment to a culture of scholarship, the School launched research centers in 2014. These centers are designed to foster discipline-specific advanced learning communities for our doctoral students and faculty, and also for our larger researcher community. They are organized to help make a meaningful social contribution to their communities and influence change in their fields through refining research skills and building theoretical knowledge. Use the links below to learn more or click on Research Centers on the top main site menu.
Join a Special Interest Group or Campus Group
Special Interest Groups and Campus groups are typically groups that focus on interdisciplinary activities, such as our Research Methodology SIG, or a targeted subject matter, such as our Special Interest Group for Engaged Learning While you can only join one Research Center, you can participate as many SIGs as are of interest to you! You can also start your own SIG or inquire about leadership opportunities within one. Use the links below to learn more or click on Research Communities on the top main site menu.
Calls for Papers, Presentations, and Other Conference Participation
For those looking for opportunities to present or publish within their field, Research Center Chairs frequently publish related announcements to their Center calendars.
