In the News: The Cost and Quality Impact of Virtual Health

This recent HBR article suggests that the quality of patient care may improve, while costs may decrease given recent developments in applied learning analytics. A component of this improvement is the fact that technology is enabling the sharing of  information between patient and provider. Also, this technology will be adaptive in that it will also enable the dynamic, real-time, discovery of patient trends through augmented analytics. Of course, "wearable technology" already offers similar benefits for other industries. This trend toward learning analytics to improve stakeholder engagement in any industry is a development that will be interesting to follow in the upcoming three to five years.
