Explore the experience of CEOs and top executives and business owners had when taking their companies into a merger or acquistion (M&A) and to identify the common links or phenomenon that occured during the process that caused them to leave their organizations soon after their M&As. Qualitative study - Five (5) top-executives from various mergers and acquistions constituted the sample study.  Utilizing a phenomenological method of inquiry, five top-exectutives were interviewed about their experience.  The ineterview tapes were transcribed, and these verbatim transcripts comprised the raw data.  Applying philosophical analysis methods, commonalities of their expereinces were discovered.
