Knowledge Without Boundaries: A Student Experience

Knowledge Without Boundaries: A Student Experience

I am a student in the School of Advanced Studies and currently enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration (Ph.D./HEA). As a student in this program, I have had the opportunity to work with many impressive faculty and students through a variety of channels made available by the University of Phoenix. The most recent Knowledge Without Boundaries (KWB) event in Phoenix was an exemplary example of how the University of Phoenix strives to highlight and support the scholarship engaged in by it students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

During this year’s event, I was impressed to see the progress that has been made by each of the Research Centers and was extremely engaged by the progressive agendas set by each center for the upcoming year. Although my experience and interests are most aligned with the education centers, I still found myself intrigued by the work presented by the centers outside of my realm of expertise.

Outside of the presentations on the progress of each center, I was also excited to have the opportunity to break out into smaller groups to connect with fellow scholars as well as have the opportunity to hone my scholarship skills. A doctoral journey is arduous however events like the most recent KWB help invigorate the passion that was the foundation for my enrollment. I encourage all to participate in these exciting events.
