New chapter contribution in newly released leadership handbook from Fellows in Residence for CLOSR
Author: Elvire Daniels
Greetings CLSER Student members!
I would like to introduce Dr. Erika Burton, a Research Fellow within CLSER. Dr. Burton is leading a Research Lab which will focus on publication of a recent study. Her call for participation follows:
Hi All!
My name is Dr. Erika Burton. I am a new research lab fellow within the CLSER research center and excited to be a part of the research completed and published through this think tank!
I completed the research for a study entitled;
What factors lead educators with a master’s degree in education to pursue a doctorate degree to meet their professional development needs?
I would LOVE to work with a student interested in developing knowledge into the nuances of the publishing world and work through how to take a completed study and get it published beyond a dissertation. Many educational research studies are completed without being published. There are alternative opportunities to publish beyond traditional journals that are often untapped markets. I would love to work with an interested research student to revise components of this completed study through intellectual dialogue and research into trade publications and journal searches to devise a plan to co-publish this study for the larger research community.
If interested please reach out to Dr. Erika Burton, at 312-339-8174 or kriezelman@email.phoenix.edu.
Respectfully,
Erika Burton, Ph.D
