Introducing the First SIG Dedicated to Mental Health and Psychological Research

'There is no health without mental health'

Bridging the gap between physical and mental health, the Center for Health Engineering and Research (CHER) has developed the Mental Health and Psychological Well-being SIG to promote students, faculty, fellow affiliates, and alumni who seek to advance research in psychology, mental health, or psychological well-being!

Potential areas of inquiry include:

  • Cognitive psychology (learning, memory, problem-solving, language acquisition)
  • fMRI research targeting psychiatric illness and behavior
  • Treatment modalities
  • Trauma psychology
  • Positive psychology
  • Sleep studies
  • Meditation and mindfulness
  • Developmental psychology
  • Community psychology
  • Cultural psychology
  • Industrial/organizational psychology
  • Feminist psychology
  • Lifespan studies
  • Sports psychology
  • Stress and health

Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods evidence-based research will be advanced to presentation and publication. Join us in examining the future of research for our SIG.
