Dr. Cristina Marine Named Research Fellow

Dr. Cristina I. Marine is a Lead Faculty/Area Chair with the University of Phoenix [UOPX]. Her areas of specialization include strategic planning and implementation, leadership, global business management, global business strategies, managing across cultures, and public administration institutions and processes.
 
Dr. Marine worked for the US Agency of International Development and for the US Department of Commerce [DOC] as an international trade specialist. At DOC, she provided business support and counseling to U.S. companies interested in doing business in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). She identified business and investment opportunities in CEE and helped establish partnerships between CEE and U.S. businesses. At Commerce, she built on the experience she gained as Director of Investor Relations of one of the enterprise funds established with U.S. funds in the 1990s. During her five-year affiliation with the enterprise fund, she supervised the implementation of the Fund's business development strategy and gained considerable experience in development finance and government-business relations. In early 1990, she covered the developments in Romania, as an international radio reporter for the Voice of America. 
 
Cristina Marine holds a Bachelor’s in English and linguistics, a Master’s in International Transactions, and a Ph.D. in International Relations. Her PhD dissertation on the European Union Enlargement and the Redefining of Transatlanticism was published by EIKON (www.edituraeikon.ro) in May 2011 and is now in several university libraries. Other publications include articles published by USG commercial journals and a Business Correspondence book. In addition to the print publications, she authored over 400 original radio scripts when she worked as an international radio broadcaster for the Voice of America.  Dr. Marine has participated in conferences and round table discussions on topical issues, made presentations at international conferences, and held lectures as a visiting professor in Europe [2011, 2013].
