Doctoral Student Waleed Mohamed's Work on Sustainability Accounting Presented in International Society of Markets and Development

Doctoral Student Waleed Mohamed dissertation work titled "The Sustainable Value-Added Model (SVA): An Interdisciplinary Approach to Corporate Sustainability and Strategic Planning" was presented at the 14th Biennial International Society for Markets and Developemtn (ISMD) Conference in Lima, Peru.

Waleed's work is well-received by the audience commenting on the urgent need of the collaboration of industry and academics to design a "balanced' measurement of economic value, social, and environmental value that firms' created.  As digitization takes place simultaneously with shared economy which increasingly show the power is now tilted toward customers, firms merely measuring economic value and paying lip services to socio and environmental value as corporate socail responsbility are no longer sustainable in the digital economy.  For further interest in this work,  email GlobalBusinessResearch@phoenix.edu
