Alum Dr. Jermani "Felicia" Thompson presented a research paper titled “The Latina’s Long Game to Succeed in U.S. Financial Services Despite Social Class Bias”. This work is based on her dissertation that investigated female project managers readiness and capabilities in leadership in the financial industry. Her dissertaion measured managers' formal and informal trainings of tacit and implicit knowledge. Dr. Thomspon graduated from SAS in 2017 from the DMIST program and has since been pro-actively pursuing publication opportunities. Besides this ILA conference, another piece of her reserach article is also accepted at the annual ILA conference to be presented in October 2018 in West Palm Beach.
