Dr. Jim Rice, Research Fellow with the Center for Global Business Research was recently invited to participate on a panel at the 2017 Healthcare Informatics Conference in Cleveland to discuss the topic, “A Deeper Dive: Understanding the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Threats.” Jim was joined by Bryan P.
Research Fellow Dr. Jim Rice (DMIST) was invited as a panel discussant in Cyber Security in Cleveland (ISC)2 Chapter Meeting in Janaury. Representing both the Center and Sirius Company (Director of IT Consulting & Security Services), Dr. Rice joined two other panelists (Kevin Baker - CISO/Security Leader for Westfield Insurance and Bank, Billy Heiser - InfoSec Manager for Signet, Inc.) and discussed about Internet security related issues in healthcare, banking, and other major industries.
The goal of the Virtual Interconnectivity Lab is to understand how organizational individuals maximize human connectivity on a global scale unrestricted by geographical constraints or time limitations. Lab research will seek to develop a greater understanding of the ways in which workers improve the condition or quality of being connected together. Dr. Jackson is currently a Senior Research Fellow with the Center for Global Business Research as well as School of Business Management Faculty in Virginia. Dr.
Dr. Dena Bateh is currently a full-time Professor of Management & International Business in New York City. In addition to teaching International Trade and Marketing, her areas of expertise also include Cultural Studies, Business Strategy, Model United Nations and Organizational Behavior. Dr. Bateh obtained her Ph.D. in International Economics from Columbia University completing my doctoral dissertation on Healthcare Improvement in Third World Countries- A Focus on Egypt. and her B.A. and M.B.A. from JacksonvilleUniversity (Florida).
Dr. Pam Gordon is starting the first Research Lab SOLAR (Sales/marketing, Organizational behavior, Leadership, Action-oriented outcomes, and Retention of human capital). Dr. Jackson has been researching web-based business phenomena such as virtual internship or e-internship, virtual teams, and virtual workers over the past two years.
