Senior Research Fellow Dr. Pam Gordon published a book chapter "Age Diversity in the Workplace" in now published. It appears in the new book Diversity and Inclusion in the Global Workplace: Aligning Initiatives with Strategic Business Goals".

Subas Nandy, PhD (Center Member since 2014, SAS Dissertation Chair, School of Business Faculty Philadelphia Campus) researches on financial performance of company stocks. One of his projects was funded by OSS research grant earlier this year.
Doug Gilbert (SAS Alum), a Fulbright recipient investigating higher education in Mongolia, will be presenting his work in the Social Business Academic Conference in November.
The paper, “Bolstering Economic Ecosystems: Help for Developing Countries or Neo-Colonialism” emphasized the somewhat hidden agenda of foreign governments in the building of EE in MENA region.
Lebanon is well known for entrepreneurship (e.g. the ancient Phoenicians) but it is mostly male-dominated. Women face obstacles (e.g., family responsibilities, financing) in Lebanon to start their businesses.
The paper “Understanding Entrepreneurship: Which Metrics are Important? A Case of Romania” reported the Romanian EE.
On June 19, 2017, Dr. Melody Jackson, was elected to the board of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). As an elected member of the 2017 – 2019 AAUW Board of Directors, Dr. Jackson will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of an organization that has been committed to the equity of women and girls in education since 1881.
The purpose of this paper is to explore the concept of service learning and the use of volunteer organizations as a means for members to learn and hone leadership skills that can be transferred to their full-time corporate positions.
Dr. Jinan Ziade (DMIST 2015), participant of KWBA workshop in Orange County Jan 2016, worked with Research Fellow Dr. Louis Daily and center member Dr. Claude Tanoe and wrote a manuscript on women entrepreneuriship in Lebanon. Their work was recently accepted for presentation at the 62nd International Council for Small Business Conference (ICSB to be held in Argentina) in June 2017.
