Alum Dr. Jermani "Felicia" Thompson presented at ILA Conference
Alum Dr. Jermani "Felicia" Thompson presented a research paper titled “The Latina’s Long Game to Succeed in U.S. Financial Services Despite Social Class Bias”. This work is based on her dissertation that investigated female project managers readiness and capabilities in leadership in the financial industry. Her dissertaion measured managers' formal and informal trainings of tacit and implicit knowledge. Dr. Thomspon graduated from SAS in 2017 from the DMIST program and has since been pro-actively pursuing publication opportunities.

Congratulations to Art! Alum (DMIST) and research fellow Dr. Arturo Trejo collaborates with the University of Austria and publishes a book regarding Emotional Intelligence. The book is in German.
Dr. Subas Nandy Named Research Fellow
Dr. Nandy’s primary area of research is in the financial performance of global companies. One of his research was on the evaluation of the financial performance of foreign companies in the form of their American Depository Repositories (ADRs) as listed in U.S. markets. Two conference papers and a journal article has been published on this topic in 2017 and 2018, a research endeavor supported by SAS OSS general research grant. One more article is currently under review in a journal. All these four research outputs are in collaboration and co-authored with Dr.
Senior Fellow Dr. Jim Rice moderates Panel in HIMSS 2018
Dr. Jim Rice (SAS DMIST, Senior Fellow CGBITR) moderates three 60-minute sessions in Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2018. HIMSS is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to promote the best use of information technology and management systems in the health care industry. Dr. Rice is a frequent panel discussant in many healthcare and IT related large-scale events. The three sessions Dr. Rice chairs addresses current and important topics:

Dr. Dena Bateh named Senior Research Fellow
Dr. Bateh is currently a full-time Professor of Management & International Business in New York City. In addition to teaching International Trade and Marketing, her areas of expertise also include Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Integrated Marketing, Model United Nations and Organizational Behavior, She obtained her Ph.D. in International Economics from Columbia University completing her doctoral dissertation on Healthcare Improvement in Third World Countries- A Focus on Egypt and both her M.B.A. and B.A. from Jacksonville University (Florida).
