Dr Louise Underdahl, Dr. Lynne Devnew, and Dr. Elizabeth Johnston have been accepted as contrbutors to a symposium at the Academy of Management (AOM) 79th annual conference in Bostom Massachusetts on August 9-13th.  The presentation is titled Women Entrepreneurs and Success:  The Positive Potential of Data and Passion and the foocus is on exemplary senior women leaders over the age of 70.  In the current study, the narrative was that of an exemplary woman leader, who had experienced noteworthy success in the context of leadership, which is most frequently a male dominated arena. The purpose of the current qualitative narrative inquiry study was to capture and describe the perceptions of an exemplary woman leader garnered during a lifetime of leadership and service. The research question is: How does a senior female leader narrate her role in a context traditionally dominated by men? The narrative will be collected in late life at a time when individuals may reflect retrospectively on a rich memory bank.  Insights gained as a result of analysis in the exploratory and descriptive study may be useful to women, educators and leaders in every field.
