Dear AERA Members and Prior Annual Meetings Participants,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its prevalence across so many states and communities in the United States and internationally, we are extending the 2021 Annual Meeting submission deadline from Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. PDT to Friday, August 14, at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
We hope that graduate students and education researchers worldwide will benefit from this extra time to prepare paper and session submissions in ways that accommodate the special circumstances of COVID-19 in your lives. For those serving on peer review panels for 2021 Annual Meeting submissions, we will modify the deadlines to account for this three-week+ extension. You will be hearing from us additionally on this issue quite soon.
We continue to monitor quite closely the spread of COVID-19 and its resurgence in certain areas within the United States. As before, AERA follows the science in making decisions that support those submitting to AND participating in the AERA Annual Meeting and those working or living in the city that serves as our host, including Orlando in 2021.
