OD Consulting to a Multi-National Islamic NGO in the Middle East

A short article on cross-cultural International consulting in the Middle East.

Abstract:

Occasionally during an OD consulting
career, there are opportunities to step
beyond the usual boundaries of practice
and experience client systems, the
work, and ourselves in a completely different
and unexpected way. Such a privilege
arose in 2011 to work with an executive
team development project and again with
the expanded leadership development team
project in 2015. Our client was one part of a
multi-national development NGO based in
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The opportunity
became a peak career experience
and we share our cross-cultural experience
in this article. It is also a story of what we
learned while practicing, for the most part
successfully, across geographic, cultural,
and religious differences
